When we first started making our snacks, it wasn't because we were looking for the next big food or diet trend

It's because our son, who was 4 years old at the time, was diagnosed with leukemia and wasn't eating anything. While going through chemo, his taste profile changed and all he wanted to eat was savory chips and snacks;  junk food with no nutrition. We thought there must be something better out there, and when we couldn't find it, we made it, by heating the whey protein water that comes from making cheese into a crisp at first, and then a puff, and then Adding oil, seasoning, and vegetable extracts, and that's how Better Than Good Foods was born.

In 2023, we took over Schoolyard Snacks, which was making the exact same product that we initially were making. However it wasn’t without issues, and since we didn’t have millions of dollars from venture capital firms, (like to former owners) it took some time  to get things right, (and it’s still an ongoing process.)
